CAM4 to Support the New York Aids Walk 2018
We in the LGBTQA+ community have all been affected in some way by HIV/AIDs. We’ve seen the terrible toll it takes through our family members, our friends, or even on ourselves – which is why we’re taking action.
On Sunday May 20, 2018, we join the initiative to help raise awareness and support the nation’s leading provider of HIV/AIDS care, Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC). GMHC is America’s leading provider of HIV/AIDS care, prevention services, and advocacy, serving nearly 13,000 people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS in New York City.
As a community that supports sexual openness, diversity and equality, CAM4 asks that you support and uplift those affected. If you are in the NY City area, please considering coming out the event and show your support. If you’d like to donate to a participating member of the Aids Walk or in general, click here.
CAM4’s own JohnnyD and Sammy Strips will be attending the event this weekend and will be interacting with participants, handing out awesome CAM4 merch, and talking to some of the special guests attending the event! (Maybe even some Drag Race queens?!?!)
We’ll be at the event starting at 9 AM in Central Park. Our booth will be near the band stand (the main entrance is at 72nd and 5th Ave.) The official walk begins at 10 AM, so make sure to come over and say hi to our LOVELY faces whenever you are able to. Look out for the CAM4 logos!
- 8:30 a.m.: Sign-In Opens
- 9:00 a.m.: Aerobic Warm-Up
- 9:15 a.m.: Opening Ceremony
- 10:00 a.m.: AIDS Walk New York Begins
- 11:30 a.m.: Finish Line Festivities
- 12:45 p.m.: Post-Walk Show
