Today let’s tackle how to send more visitors to your Cam4 shows through Twitter. If you’re already a seasoned Twitter user, never fear – we’ll be tackling Facebook next, as well as some other issues you may be facing in social media, like how to handle trolls and loser cheapskates.

1. Use pics of yourself for your avatar and background – but DON’T use anything nude! Guys on Twitter might be at work or at home where there may be prying eyes. As a cam model, you’re providing a fantasy – but on Twitter, it’s pretty close to real life. Your potential customer won’t worry that he’s going to get yelled at before he/she even visits your cam show.

2. Don’t make it tiny! Size matters, when you click on a profile pic, a new page opens up with the pic in the actual size you used. If you upload a tiny photo, when someone clicks on your photo to get a better look, they’re going to be disappointed. Use a photo that’s no bigger than 700KB in size and is SQUARE. Suggested size is 500 pixels x 500 pixels at 72dpi. If you’re not Photoshop savvy, you might have to play with it a couple of times to get the size right, but make sure it is SQUARE.

3. Put your Cam4 URL in the Website section. Customers want you to lead them in the easiest way possible. Have a direct link that takes your customer right to YOUR cam room, they won’t waste any time browsing the rest of the cam site. Got an Amazon wish list or a membership site? You can put links in your bio, too. But make sure that your cam show URL is the one that you put into the Website section of your profile.

4. Explain what sort of cam shows you provide. Are you a foot fetish model? A Dominatrix? A girl-next-door? By explaining what sort of shows you provide, you’re guaranteed to attract customers who are into your particular fetish – which helps decrease the number of trolls and lurkers. Do you provide different kinds of shows? Consider having multiple accounts to handle your different “personalities” – phone sex operators have used this trick for decades to attract more customers!

5. DON’T make your profile private! If you do that, you’re not allowing the public to see you…which means they won’t follow you, which means they’re not going to notice when you tweet about your next show. The only time I suggest going private is when you’re not advertising any shows – when you’re on vacation, visiting family, or just need some down time from camming.
