Gay Marriage Legalized in all States: US Supreme Court

Huge news today just in time for #pride2015!! The Supreme Court has just made gay marriage legalized in all 50 states. In a 5-4 decision, the SCOTUS declared every gay person in America has the right to marry. Red states, blue states, every single gay person in America can officially get married to whomever they want.

This follows two other monumental political decisions in America – the Affordable Care Act and the Fair Housing Act. *cue Bob Dylan’s Times They Are a Changing*

The movement towards legalizing gay marriage in America began in the 1970s, but the gay rights movement began in 1924. In 2004, Massachusetts became the first state to legalize gay marriage.
